Facing a globalization backlash, rising inequality and environmental degradation, the UN Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2017 (2017 Survey) explores policy options for Asia and the Pacific economies to sustain and increase their economic dynamism while improving the quality of growth in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In view of the challenges, the 2017 Survey also highlights the importance of better governance and effective fiscal management.
