Open Data Watch is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization* dedicated to making high-quality data open and available in all countries and development agencies. ODW was founded by three development data specialists who not only know how powerfully transformative freely available data can be, but who have the experience and knowledge to help translate vision into best practice. Driven by a passion for data and a desire to have a positive impact in the development community, ODW is currently supported primarily by volunteers and grants.

Your financial support can help make a big difference in advancing Open Data and helping people around the world to reap its important benefits. You do not have to be a foundation, head of a development organization, or even a famous philanthropist. Open Data Watch can put a donation of any size immediately to work in practical and substantive ways. With your donation, you too can join the Data Revolution and help achieve the goal of access to development data worldwide — in a very real way to make the world a more open and better place.
