Good policies depend on good data—but persistent gaps and biases in data about women and girls have long limited what decision-makers can see and do. The Data2X Reflection Report looks back on more than a decade of work to change that. The report traces the evolution of the global gender data ecosystem, highlighting Data2X’s contributions and how better data has informed decisions across areas such as economic participation, financial inclusion, unpaid care work, and legal identity. It offers practical lessons for advancing more inclusive and effective policymaking as Data2X enters its next chapter with ODW.
