Earlier this summer, Open Data Watch and Data2X released a draft for discussion of Ready to Measure: Phase II. We thank the readers and reviewers who gave us thoughtful feedback on this newest initiative.
We are now excited to officially launch the finalized report – Ready to Measure Phase II: Indicators Available to Monitor the SDG Gender Targets – accompanied by a new gender data query tool. Read the report here! |
Realizing the ambitious promises made by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals – including but not limited to Goal 5 on gender equality – will require a serious commitment to the collection and use of more and better gender data. To help achieve these ambitious promises, in partnership with Data2X, we produced the Ready to Measure (R2M) report and the accompanying database.
We hope Ready to Measure: Phase II will be a useful tool for everyone who wants to improve the lives of women and girls, from policy makers and technical experts, to advocates and academics. Through Ready to Measure, we aim to contribute to gender data efforts, and show that measurement of gender-related SDG targets is not only possible, but can start now.
