The UN took an important step towards setting goals on poverty eradication, reduction of greenhouse gases, and sustainable social and economic development as the zero draft of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was released this week. The draft precedes the first meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on SDGs, which is designed to create a framework for implementing and monitoring the agreed upon goals and targets of the post-2015 development agenda.
