Delivering Data Where it Counts: Considerations for Subnational Development

5 June, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) call on us to “leave no one behind”. To achieve this goal and support countries’ own development priorities, governments and development practitioners must be equipped with the right data, tools, and skills to make evidence-based decisions. Increasingly, these decisions and responsibilities are being devolved to subnational governments. So what investments do we need to make to turn “data-driven decision-making” from a goal to a (local) reality?

This event is being organized by Development Gateway through the Des Chiffres et Des Jeunes (DCDJ) Program, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)-PEPFAR Data Collaboratives program; with the support and participation of Cooper/Smith, Global Integrity, IREX, John Snow, Inc., PATH, and Results for Development.
