Integrating Citizen Data into Official Statistics: From Vision to Implementation (UN StatCom 2026)

The Collaborative on Citizen Data is organizing a side event at the 57th UN Statistical Commission (UN StatCom) to explore how citizen data can be integrated into national statistical systems to complement official statistics, fill data gaps, and amplify underrepresented groups. Building on the Copenhagen Framework endorsed at the 56th UN Statistical Commission, the event will shift focus from vision to implementation, highlighting upcoming country experiences, methodological and institutional innovations, and partnerships.
