The ninth meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators (IAEG-SDGs), will be held from 25 to 28 March 2019 in Beirut, Lebanon. The meeting is hosted by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia.
This meeting is the same format as the previous IAEG-SDG meeting. There is be a Members meeting taking place during the first day (25 March) and a Plenary Session taking place during the following three days (26 – 28 March). During the plenary session, all countries, international and regional agencies and entities, and other stakeholders are invited to attend.
The IAEG-SDGs was established by the Statistical Commission at its 46th session to develop an indicator framework for the monitoring of the Goals and targets of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development at the global level and to support its implementation. (Learn More)

The UN Statistical Commission is holding its 50th session from 5-8 March 2019 at the UN Headquarters in New York City. The UNSC brings together Chief Statisticians from UN Member States, and is the highest decision making body for international statistical activities.
